Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Beagle Security account, helping protect it even if your password is compromised. It requires a secondary verification step such as a code from an authenticator app before granting access to your account.
There are three methods to set up 2FA
Authenticator app
Email
Backup codes
Two-factor authentication using authenticator app
To set up 2FA using an authenticator app:
Go to profile and click on Two-factor authentication
Click on the “setup” button next to the authenticator app option
Enter your account password and click ”confirm” in the confirm identity pop up
Install an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or any other supported authenticator app on your mobile device and scan the below QR code
Click on Next and enter the 6-digit code generated from your authenticator app
Click on Verify to complete the setup process
2FA using authenticator app will be enabled on your account. When you log in the next time, you'll need to enter your password and then a code generated from your authenticator app on your smartphone.
We have tested the following authenticator apps, but others should work as well:
Important: We recommend enabling the backup codes option as well when you set up 2FA using authenticator app. This will allow you to avoid potentially being locked out of your account.

To set up 2FA using email:
Go to profile and click on Two-factor authentication
Click on the “setup” button next to the Email option
Enter the email address and click verify
Enter your account password and click ”confirm” in the confirm identity pop up
Enter the 6-digit code you received on the email address and click verify to complete the setup process
Important: We recommend enabling the backup codes option as well when you set up 2FA using email. This will allow you to avoid potentially being locked out of your account.
Enabling backup codes
