# How to pause and resume a test?

If you need to temporarily stop a running test without ending it completely, you can use the pause feature. Pausing a test allows you to halt test execution and resume it later when you’re ready to continue.

# Pause a running test
* Go to **Applications**.

* Select the application with the running test.

* Open the **Testing** tab.

* Click the **Test Progress** sub-tab.

* Under **Progress Status,** click on the pause button.

The test will be paused and execution will stop until you choose to resume it.

# Resume a paused test
Once a test has been paused, the **pause** button changes to **resume**. To continue the test, simply click on the **resume** button.

The test will continue from where it was paused.
